Worked as one of a small team of corporate restructuring specialists focused on supporting companies through distress. Provided day to day project management to drive complex transactions to completion against tight deadlines whilst providing management teams with transaction structuring, negotiating, options analysis and stakeholder mapping support

Led on two major transactions identified by Network Rail for the purposes of raising capital to bridge the enhancement programme’s funding gap. The role has required the compilation of supporting business plans, based on limited available information, identification of assets and documentation of Green Book Business Cases as well as complex stakeholder management bringing together stakeholders across Network Rail, Department for Transport, HM Treasury and the wider industries to build a consensus of support. The change of project in early 2017 required an ability to rapidly identify areas where team effort has needed to be redirected, to challenge strategic thinking, identify appropriate transaction structures and re-energise a demotivated team

Worked as core senior member of the UBS restructuring team through 3 leadership changes. Provided restructuring transaction expertise and advised boards on high profile, complex, cross border transactions working closely with wider UBS advisory teams both in the UK, Europe and the US

Initially worked on a broad range of M&A transactions before being recruited into the restructuring team in 2002 when it was initially formed. Worked alongside Lachlan Edwards and Richard Millwood to support Boards and management teams through restructuring processes, providing day to day project management, financial management, cash flow reporting and options analysis.
