Culminating in my role as Head of Policy, responsible for key project development and delivery, leading on stakeholder relationships, public affairs, and policy work. When the RDAs were abolished, I moved into the HE Sector as the Executive Officer at the University of York. Essentially as the Private Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor. I worked for two VCs and had four key roles: providing advice, information and analysis to the VC, DVC and Executive Board on a variety of internal and external issues, Secretary to the Executive Board, establishing and delivering projects for the VC and his Senior Team and leading the Vice-Chancellor’s Department. I also served as Interim University Secretary. In my role as Deputy Chief Executive for Student Engagement at LUU, I was responsible to the Board of Trustees for the strategy, development and delivery of 5 key areas of work and their staff: Academic Engagement, development of 340 student led Clubs & Societies, delivery of our representation and advice service, political engagement including Public Affairs, international engagement; lead relationship and reputation manager with external stakeholders; mentor to our elected Officers. I led on all areas of student engagement strategy.
