Masters graduate of Environmental Science from Bangor University and qualifying member of CIEEM.I gained a well rounded and deep understanding of the environment looking at waste management, resource management, earth chemistry and biology, environmental issues, and environmental policy. This knowledge is supported with experience using ArcGIS mapping, MATLAB, SPSS, and microsoft analysis to develop my analytical and report writing skills. I am able to present a well balanced understanding of environmental processes and policy, with a capability for lateral thinking and problem solving.Currently working as an environmental officer, supporting the maintenance of The Green Dragon level 5 certification for one of the largest further education colleges in the UK providing education to over 17,000 students and 1,500 members of staff. Trained in ISO14001 and ISO45001 internal auditing. Overseeing the management of electric, gas, water, waste management for 15 different sites spanning the width of North Wales. Establishing new initiatives across the grŵp to encourage sustainable procurement, resource use and recycling to improve waste management environmentally and financially. I work closely with estates and facilities to achieve decarbonisation targets using new and innovative technology. During the completion of my masters degree, I worked full time as a department supervisor, supporting a small team hit daily/weekly targets, developing them as individuals, providing excellent customer service, and liasing with 3rd party businesses. At this time I also volunteered with the Carneddau partnership scheme to deepen my understanding of Welsh history and culture in the local environment, and how my environmental knowledge can be applied in a practical setting.
