Working with the regenerative farming team at Hayes Teaching Farm to report on food security, food sovereignty, and small-scale farming in New Brunswick.Responsible for producing one article a week that covers relevant topics on food security and food sovereignty in the province. Aspects of this role include writing, photography, videography and interviewing members of the community. All work is currently published through RAVEN's Facebook page, and the NB Media Co-op's Facebook page and website.

Campaigned for fossil fuel divestment at St. Thomas University by increasing awareness and engagement with the campus community. Delivered presentations to a number of groups at the university including the Students' Union, Faculty Association, and Investment Committee. Circulated a petition and information booklet which helped increase awareness of the campaign, which collected over 300 signatures from the university community including students, staff, faculty and alumni. Responsible for creating and managing social media accounts for the campaign, as well as delivering presentations to a number of environmental and human rights classes. Represented the campaign at various gatherings including the STU Leads Conference on Sustainability and various climate rallies.

An 18-week, hands on training program which introduced participants to the basics of small-scale, regenerative farming. A combination of on-farm and in-class sessions allowed encouraged me to explore the principles of sustainable agriculture while practicing my knowledge in the field. Lessons included the basics of composting, permaculture, crop and fertility management, sustainable water systems, food security, food sovereignty, and integrative pest management.Responsible for vegetable production to provide 30+ Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) customers with fresh produce for 12 weeks. Recipient of a Regenerative Farming Certificate at the end of the 18 weeks.

As a communications assistant, I was responsible for publishing press and media releases, to communicate announcements and information with the general public. As well my position required research and understanding of current environmental activity in New Brunswick, so I could produce engaging, accurate and effective blog posts for the organization's website. Blog posts were used to inform the public of environmental policy changes, conservation efforts and community initiatives in the province.
