I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas in the spring of 2023. I originally entered into university as a Computer Science major, however, I did not enjoy my experience in Computer Science, and I opted to switch to Accounting. Now, I find the structure, logic, and directness of Accounting to be more fitting. While I did not continue on the Computer Science path, I was able to develop a strong foundation in the field, and consequently, I have earned some critical computer skills that I believe will help further my ability to succeed in an Accounting career.I am a hard-working and detail-oriented individual. While I think of myself as a perfectionist, I am still able to work in a timely manner. I have always had a passion for mathematics and staying organized. In fact, mathematical skills and organization are two of my strengths that have helped me decide to seek a career in Accounting.In the past, I was employed as a sales associate at Build-A-Bear Workshop, and that position allowed me to improve upon my communication skills, ability to work quickly on my feet, and sales skills. I aim to use these skills to succeed in my future career as well.Most recently, I completed an internship with Kosanda & Company, PLLC during the spring semester of 2023. Throughout this internship, I was able to put my accounting knowledge to work by assisting in the completion of individual, trust, and company tax returns. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in the accounting field, I developed crucial social skills in an office environment.Now, I am fully employed as a Cost Accountant for Polytronix, Inc., where I am working alongside a small team of individuals to develop and implement a cost accounting system to help standardize the company's inventory of finished goods.I would love to connect with you here on LinkedIn, or you can reach me via email at: hannahk1201@gmail.com.
