Continuing to execute on all responsibilities of my previous role, as an Implementation Manager I served as Lead Project Manager on almost ten parallel implementations for a diverse set of emerging biotech and biopharma clients. My primary focus was around leading initiatives to decrease time to value and improve inefficiencies in the implementation lifecycle by developing product training programs for both clients and internal teams, which include written and video collateral. I also oversaw a team of junior support members leading implementations, and was responsible for staffing and operations. In this capacity I also focused on providing mentorship to program members to streamline onboarding and train on Benchling best practices.

I also drove requirements gathering and design workshops, performed data modeling and application configuration, developed test plans and guided UAT execution, and trained and onboarded users.

In my role as a Research Associate in the Consulting organization at Lux Research, I assessed and analyzed both emerging and established technologies to determine the most significant applications and markets. I conducted secondary research drawing on diverse sources, including business and trade press articles, scientific publications, patent filings, and conference presentations. I also produced written research reports and presentations for clients, including creative visual depictions of data and ideas through MS PowerPoint and development of analysis frameworks in MS Excel.

Returning to LiquiGlide, I was able to continue my work as a Coatings Engineer and also explore the role of Technical Business Development. In the Engineer position I developed new formulations for targeted applications by applying liquid-impregnated surface science. These applications included coatings for a range of products, from mayonnaise to bread dough. In the Technical Business Development role, I worked to expand LiquiGlide applications in food industry from consumer-packaged goods to industrial processing. My responsibilities in this role included filtering inbound project requests and designing experiments to assess the feasibility of these applications, as well as visiting and interfacing with consumers and partners across the United States to help further technical understanding and successful implementation of coating technology in a variety of fields.

In the Engineer role I conducted experiments to assess the feasibility of new applications, and studied and applied liquid-impregnated surface science in the development of new coating formulations. I also performed some aspects of the Technician role including maintaining lab area cleanliness and order, keeping inventory of chemicals and supplies in the lab, and purchasing more when needed.

As a Research Assistant I investigated the influence of cell confinement on migratory behaviors of epithelial cells in response to applied electric fields. I processed data from video microscopy using cell tracking software to construct a computational model of the experimental system to simulate migratory behaviors. I also assisted in tissue culture of mammalian cells, both epithelial and mesenchymal.

In this co-op position I worked in the Biology research department on the development of a PD assay for a drug candidate aiming to treat autoimmune disorders. I performed tasks in and out of the lab to help run and optimize the assay, such as blood purification, experimental set-up, sample collection, analysis of data, and determination of next steps for the project. Additionally, I researched current data on biomarkers/cytokines and helped apply this information to the project.
