In my role as a 1st grade teacher, I designed lesson plans for my class, taught whole group, small group, and individualized instruction, and helped my students with their social-emotional skills. In our curriculum I taught ELA, math, social studies, and science, as well as PBIS lessons that were intertwined. I had to incorporate frequent differentiation/scaffolding strategies to meet the various academic needs of my students. I also attended weekly professional development sessions devoted to the science of reading in elementary-aged children. This was my first year teaching after graduating from LVC.

- Worked with 9th-12th grade learning support at Northern Lebanon High School for 8 weeks.- Tutored students 1-on-1 and in small groups.- Constructed and taught an 8-week ELA unit plan on the novel, "The Call of the Wild".- Attended IEP meetings.- Facilitated progress monitoring assessments.

- Taught 1st grade at Southwest Elementary School for 8 weeks.- Instructed math, ELA, and social studies concepts.- Conducted morning meetings, brain breaks, and facilitated the independent reading block. - Effectively enforced classroom management strategies, group collaboration, and encouraged student learning and accountability.
