I am a Chartered town planner at Spawforths, an award winning and innovative multidisciplinary team of architects, planners and master planners who are passionate about quality place making. Our team are currently promoting over £12 billion worth of development through the planning system including over 40,000 new homes and 25 million square feet of commercial floor space; of these our architects are delivering 1 million sq ft of commercial floor space worth £145 million and 650 new homes worth £140 million throughout the North of England and the Midlands.I am a Planning Director, leading the Development Management Team and part of the Senior Management Team at Spawforths, providing professional advice to a wide range of clients which include developers, landowners and major housebuilders. I joined Spawforths in July 2007 following five years at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council working within the development control team of the planning service specialising in large scale employment sites. My specialisms include Project Management of large scale projects including the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications, appeals and Environmental Statements, Working on a wide range of projects which cover the spectrum from wind farms, barn conversions in the green belt to multimillion pound infrastructure projects.
