The Equity Fund is building the power needed to stop climate change and create an equitable clean energy future through a strategic multi-state initiative. The Equity Fund is strategically building power by:Investing in the leadership and organizing of diverse communities (Black, Latinx, AAPI, Indigenous people, and communities bearing the brunt of climate change)Engaging voters in these communities through nonpartisan civic engagement campaigns; and Winning climate and clean energy policy solutions that reflect the priorities of communities and advance racial, economic, and environmental justice.

Consult on a variety of spatial and GIS projects brought to S4 from faculty at Brown University

Conducted field research in the SE USA collecting data on non-native plant species distributions.Inputted specimen data into digitized herbarium database.Compiled information from herbaria databases.

Led weekly discussion sections on assigned reading materials, held office hours, and review sessions before exams. Graded homework assignments and papers.

Received funding to work with Dr. Bradley Wetherbee on researching spatio-temporal movement patterns of mako sharks in the Western North Atlantic. Handled large data sets, utilizing statistical softwares such as R and Matlab. Made and maintained fishing gear to conduct coastal shark surveys off of Rhode Island. Presented findings of research at annual RI NSF EPSCoR SURF Conference.
