I teach three courses to a mix of undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and graduate-level students within the Art Education program: Introduction to Art Therapy, Impact of Behavioral Sciences, and Lab Experience Practicum.

I provided individual and group therapy for patients on the inpatient psychiatric unit. I assessed patients when they were first hospitalized and on a weekly basis. I was part of the treatment team and provided relevant insight from my sessions to the team.

I facilitated individual & family sessions in an outpatient practice. I worked with clients aged 3-16 while conducting family, individual, & bio-psycho-social assessments. and maintaining clinical communication with parents, educators, and other clinicians. I worked with clients through telehealth and in person, using art and play therapy to meet clients’ needs

I facilitated group sessions in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting with 12-24 participants, maintained art supplies, and collaborated with treatment teams. Additionally, I wrote and maintained secure documentation for each patient and worked on all units; adolescent, young adult, adults, acute, and older adults.

I worked with adults with intellectual or developmental disorders to help them learn about making art and using art as a means of earning income.

I planned and executed lessons for students with diverse ability levels for grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I worked with my fellow art teacher, other art teachers in my pyramid, as well as classroom teachers to create engaging lessons that promote a variety of skills including fine motor skills and critical and creative thinking skills. I worked with students in the general education population as well as the students in the specialized center in my school who have emotional or behavioral disorders that impede their success in a general education setting.I have participated in after school activities such as STEAM Night, and served on many committees including the Yearbook Committee, Playground Committee, Response to Intervention Core Team, and the district-wide Family Life Education Curriculum Advisory Committee.

I planned and executed lessons for all kindergarten-second grades. I graded, organized, and displayed student artwork around the school. Aside from teaching art, I also taught Reading Interventions for low reading level first grade students and the Mentally Gifted Enrichment Program.

During the course of my study at Moore College of Art & Design, I have worked in several offices within the school: Executive Office, Continuing Education, Art Education, and Student Services. Generally, I answered phone, e-mail, and in person inquiries, guided students, created promotional materials, created and edited newsletters, and performed other various administrative tasks.

I was responsible for the maintenance and safety of a dorm building and the residents of the building. A large part of my job was training and providing support for the Resident Assistants on each floor. As an RD, I worked with fellow Residence Life members to diffuse crises and to address any emergencies.

As an RA, I was responsible for fostering a community on my floor of 17 residents. I planned floor events and maintained an orderly living environment for those on my floor. I was a resource for my residents and checked on their physical, emotional, mental, and academic well-being. I upheld college policies and acted as a mediator when necessary.

As a BFA candidate at Moore College of Art & Design, I worked with a small class of high school students in a photography class. I assisted the teacher and taught one lesson.

As a BFA candidate at Moore College of Art & Design, I assisted a certified Special Education teacher in a Saturday art class for students with special needs such as Autism or Down's Syndrome. These students ranged from elementary to high school in age.

Head counselor for second and third graders. Oversaw general activities during the day, planned art activities, guided counselor-in-trainings, and maintained contact with fellow counselors.

I assisted a second and a fourth grade teacher in the homeroom classes. I worked with students in areas such as vocabulary, math, and reading.

As a student, I interned with the special education department at my high school. I worked with mentally disabled students, taught and assisted students in general education subjects and social skills. I helped make instructional and educational videos and ran daily routines with the students. I communicated with students' parents of a daily basis.
