Responsible for the full financial function of fruit processing operations including the manufacturing of pulp, concentrate, canned and dried fruit. Includes reporting to the Board of directors and company secretarial duties, managing the HR, security and IT functions and overall administration of the corporation. Arranged financing and managed the cashflows of the corporation which included the construction of 3 new processing plants, as well a renewable energy project.Project feasible studies as well as cost management and control.Responsible for imports and exports and managing foreign exchange to maximise returns.Risk analysis and mitigation.

Responsible for the management of financial affairs of the Agriculture business unit, which manages a total of 15 434 hectares of cane as well as some banana and litchi crops.It further includes the provision of support services to small scale cane growers in the form of farm management services and bulk water supply services. Akwandze Agricultural Finance provides financial support to cane growers in the form of low interest loans. Main responsibilities include: - Delivering the financial function and services for the agriculture business unit; - Management of subordinates and bedding down of Agric Finance Structure; - Review, develop, implement and monitor systems of internal controls; - Ensure integrity of financial system and reported results; - Monthly reporting for internal and external consumption; - Cash flow management and forecasts and monitoring against credit limits in liaison with commercial team; - Liaison with credit providers to ensure sufficient credit facilities are available; - Management of debtor recoveries; - Participation and contribution to company structure optimisation; - Review and evaluate capital investment proposals; - Liaison with external and internal auditors; - Ensure financial audits are unqualified
