In this position I taught weekly recitation sessions with groups of around 25 second-year electrical engineering students from the class on System Dynamics and Control Engineering. My task included planning the sessions around practice problems in analysis and control of linear dynamical systems. Part of my assignment was also to refresh and solidify the knowledge that the students had acquired in lectures on the same subject.

Our project is the development of a complete power supply and control interface system for a 240 GHz phased antenna array. I am using MatLab for this task, as it is a common tool at the IHE - also it is very flexible and suited to implementing USB communication with the lower-level control systems.I have completed development of a MatLab interface for a preliminary phase of the project: The measurement and characterization of the EHF phase-shifters that will be used to control the phasing of the individual antennae.From there, a further program was developed to control the phased array through communication with a custom-built SMU system. After receiving a top grade of 1.0 in the exam for Advanced Mathematics I, I applied for a position as tutor, to help the freshman students through that same subject. My application was accepted, and I became a teaching assistant after only two semesters at university, an unusual situation for Advanced Mathematics tutors. I continued on with tutoring Advanced Mathematics II and Complex Analysis and Integral Transformations as well. I received excellent feedback from my students.
