Situation: Honda Motors Europe (Ghent, Belgium) is a new IBM client within a transition phase in which management of their own infrastructure will be taken over by IBM. Implementing changes in infrastructure should be done by using IBM’s standards for processes and project management.Tasks: implementing changes using the IBM’s Request for Service process, optimize processes and reporting to client with RFS team. Manage infrastructural changes using the new procedures. Managing external vendors to participate in these processes. Acted as service delivery manager and single point of contact for client to identify client needs and provide solutions.Achievements: RFS process secured and communicated to client, Implemented systems and infrastructure, invoicing and resource planning processes.

Situation: Honda Motors Europe uses Service Management system Service Now. IBM uses its own service management system ISM Maximo. HME wants to continu using Service Now as SM tool so data needs to be exchanged manually between the two systems awaiting an automated process still under development. A South African helpdesk will take care of that.Tasks: Setting up procedures with Honda and IBM. Managing these procedures to be documented in clear work instructions. Train the helpdesk employees using the newly documented instructions. Handover and go live with the “Swivel” desk.Achievements: problem and incident tickets, initiated on both Honda as IBM side are transferred within time agreed. All procedures regarding normal and exception flows are followed as instructed. Knowledge has been documented and can be shared with new employees.

Situation: the IBM Delivery Project Services department manages and executes projects within the infrastructure domain of ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands. As this department has been set up recently it is lacking an administrative organization, tools, management information and policy. The use of people, resources and tools should be optimized.Tasks: coordination of work load, provide a view on processes and optimize them, managing and supervising migrations and implementations. Leading 15 FTEs.Achievements: Managed department, governance, implemented systems and infrastructure, resource planning procedures and reporting using management information.

Situatie: IBM was de ICT dienstverlener van het toenmalige DHV. Na de fusie met Royal Haskoning heeft de nieuwe combinatie, waarbij Royal Haskoning de bovenliggende partij was, besloten verder te gaan met de ICT dienstverlener van Royal Haskoning. Gedurende 6 maanden vond een transition out plaats tot het moment dat het contract met IBM ten einde was. Deze klant heeft een aantal grote datacenters in de Verenigde Staten, landelijke datacenters overal ter wereld tot aan datacenters op het niveau van de productiefaciliteiten (plants) die autonoom kunnen opereren in geval communicatiestoringen. Dow doet zaken met diverse vendors maar IBM is in de lead en coördineert de projecten waar ook de andere vendors (ook niet-ICT) bij betrokken zijn. * Project name: SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area)* Project description (including job responsibilities): The objective of this project was to provide the infrastructure for the FBN SEPA applications, including connectivity with FBN back office applications and the international SWIFT payments modules. SEPA is used for international payment transactions (direct debits and credit transfers) between countries within the Euro area. Position held or equivalent: Project manager* Contribution: As a project manager I was responsible for providing an infrastructure for the EPP applications provided as a framework by IBM. The implementation of the infrastructure included the following components:- Websphere Application Servers (hardware and WAS sub-systems, active/active) for GUI based applications- Websphere Message Brokers (hardware and WMB sub-systems, active/active) for EPP application- MQ and XFB file and data transfers between SEPA applications and back office applications and SWIFT- pSeries servers and AIX- Redundancy (servers and storage)- Disaster Recovery procedures- Service Operation proceduresFor this project I led a project team consisting of several teams responsible for each component (approximately 30 persons in total). I gained significant experience in handling multi-discipline technical issues and resolving them and the interaction between software development, external and internal, and infrastructure specialists.

* Project name: LCM anti Malware (McAfee replacement)* Project description (including job responsibilities): All Windows based systems (servers and workstations) need to be protected against threads from the outside world, like viruses, spyware and worm attacks, as these systems are connected to the internet directly (e.g. laptops used at home), or through other means of communication (internet gateways, mail etc.). Protection has been achieved by the implementation of various McAfee products.McAfee charged the former FBN organization with support costs, not known to be part of the contract by FBN. This makes McAfee an unreliable supplier and will therefore be “black-listed”. Microsoft ForeFront is already part of the current Enterprise Agreement, so no extra license fees are to be acquired for implementation, while MS FF has the same functionality as the currently used McAfee products. Besides the unreliability of the supplier, the fact that MS FF is practically for free serves the basis of the business case. Position held or equivalent: Project manager* Contribution: As a project manager I was responsible for the complete removal of McAfee products from all Windows based systems and the implementation of Forefront Protection Server Management Console and Forefront Endpoint Protection software on these systems. Also a number of reporting servers have been installed e.g. to monitor any intrusions and updates of definition files on the clients.

*Project Name: Security Logging & Monitoring Implementation* Project description (including job responsibilities): The Security Logging & Monitoring Implementation (AI37) project is necessary to be demonstrable in control (regulatory requirement); by means of continuous controls monitoring for the eMail, Unix and Windows domains. Monitoring was accomplished with the implementation of the product SenSage, using standalone appliances running Red Hat Linux for collecting, storing (using data warehouse technology) and analyze logging of Unix/Linux hosts, Exchange servers and Windows servers.Now, the client is able to monitor security events using desktop java consoles from any workstation within ABN AMRO. Also the path is created to add more domains to monitor, including network, Oracle, mainframe etc., both in former FBN and ABN AMRO infrastructure and to comply to regulations required by De Nederlandsche Bank. Position held or equivalent: Project manager* Contribution: As a project manager, I led several teams including Networking, Unix, Wintel and Mail, to be able to implement this solution in the former FBN infrastructure.
