- Designed and developed three internal applications for cloud service automation, responsible for all areas of development, including database design, cloud resource management, API and backend coding, deployment pipelines, authorization/access control, and UI.- Primary developer for a production assessment application for tracking production readiness of new cloud resources which facilitates collaboration across many teams, similar to Jira, but customized to the teams’ process. This application is used by around 300 Service Developer Managers, and is critical for ensuring legal and financial compliance, requiring high accuracy, availability, and intuitiveness.- Primary developer for an external service request queue monitoring application, used by nearly 2000 technical account managers to create, save, modify, and share highly customizable, real-time reports, view request details, and schedule alerts for service request management.- Consulting member on four additional public facing applications, frequently responsibly for the discovery/design phase and implementation of new processes for reuse across many projects. Worked extensively with senior engineers and led a team of interns.

- Developed components for the cloud-native Oracle Content Management (OCM) platform designed to collect massive and wide-ranging analytics data used to generate charts and reports, provide Machine Learning based user personalization, and track usage-based billing. - Designed and developed the consumption analytics service, adding significant backend infrastructure, database management, cache and server management, and Java-based REST APIs, with primary focus on scalability, correctness, security, and low overhead/latency. - Designed and created a public JavaScript based SDK (software development kit) for efficient integrated use of consumption analytics engine and the supporting event logging, registration, security, and identity/metadata detection APIs. - Served as a product expert for OCM analytics microservice, facilitating delivery, improvements, and reliability; and advised / communicated with fellow engineers and QA team on the features, architecture, and usage of the service. - Created rigorous unit/integrated tests in JUnit, participated in code reviews, and debugged existing issues to ensure a high-quality service.

- Researched and designed mechanical and software components of a lightweight and natural-feeling robotic prosthetic foot intended to dramatically reduce cost of rehabilitation and align the feeling to a non-prosthetic foot.- Wrote the embedded controls firmware for the prosthetic, which took in raw data from an IMU and potentiometer, reconstructed the motion and gait of the step, and output commands to control motors to produce natural movements.- Created a telemetry module to coordinate motion with other prosthetic devices, such as ankles and legs.- Designed a user-friendly graphic interface for patients to control preferences for their prosthetic such as desired stiffness.- Selected by engineering department to present my research at the Wisconsin Capitol to lobby for research funding for UW.

- Created automated payment audit application to convert PDF scans of natural-language contracts to machine understandable rules and data.- Used optical character recognition and natural language processing for rules/data extraction, autocorrection, and low-confidence flagging.- Reduced the time to process a single contract from a full workday to fifteen minutes, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.- Integrated back-end engine into an intuitive and user-friendly UI with powerful tools for quick semi-automated editing.
