Operate & maintain Greater Cairo optical transmission network.Do commissioning, operation & maintenance for NSN SDH & DWDM equipment’s:(SMA1k - SMA1/4 - SMA16 - SLD16 - SL64 - HIT 7070 - HIT 7050 – HIT 7080 – HIT 7300).Huawei (Metro 3000 - Metro 5000 - OSN 3500 - OSN 7500 - Metro 6100 - OSN 6800 –OSN8800). Nokia (PSS-32 – PSS-64).Plan and Perform transmission circuits implementation covering the installations,provisioning, testing and handover, Document complete records of these circuits withactivation dates.Periodic monitoring of the network performance and logs and act against abnormalitiesas per the method of procedures and operations guidelines. (Using NMS: SIEMENSTNMS, Huawei U2000, Nokia OMS 1350, and NFM-T).Use Power Meters, Power Sources, Optical Attenuators, OSA, and Optical &ElectricalAnalyzer i.e., JDSU, EXFO, HP, Sunset, VeEx, and Victoria for network faults troubleshooting.Coordinate with vendors TAC transmission groups to resolve critical issues which roseduring commissioning, traffic shifting and O&M.Do all the preventive maintenance activities and study the network to avoid any SPOF.
