Learned designing web applications and software systems. Main responsibilities were choosing framework and database, database design, requirement gathering, client management etc. Also I got chance to manage a team of five people. I converted requirements into tasks and assigned to team members. I created libraries/modules for code reuse and speeding up development process. Developed a system to identify repeated tasks doing by team members and automating them if possible.

Learned Yii framework. I did a project in it. Automated some functionalities like newsletter sending using crons. My previous experience in back end programming helped a lot for doing this. I started focusing on maintainable and secure coding practice. Payment system integrations made security a crucial factor. Switched from SVN to Git and started using Gitlab.

I joined research and development wing of Admod on 2012 without much front end programming experience. The only previous experience was my academic project I did with PHP . I started learning web application development in PHP using CodeIgniter framework. Familiarized with version control systems, mainly SVN. I began using PHPStorm. My previous experience in server administration made me different. I could troubleshoot issues through various logs and fix them by updating or installing modules and server side applications. I could work independently without DevOps.

I started my career as Linux server administrator. The main responsibility was managing and maintaining around 200 FreeBSD servers. Most of the servers contains E-commerce websites where the uptime is very crucial. I used shell scripting for monitoring services like apache, mysql etc. Trigger automated starting if any of them went down and send various alert messages. Deployed various crons for vulnerability scanning and sending reports. Made shell scripts for doing repeated tasks. Modified automated load balancing system using amazon ec2 clouds.Did several server tweaking for performance boost, customization and vulnerability fixing. Performed disaster recoveries with lower server down time. Routine tasks were installing, updating and tweaking server side applications like Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Proftpd etc.
