Regional Health Information Supervisor
• Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of health information system at regional level.• Gathering information on service provision, utilisation, morbidity, mortality, births and other aspects of preventive& curative services.• Monthly/ Quarterly Regional report to HE The Minister for Health• Supervising the work of Sr. Health Information Supervisors of the region.• Analyse the data collected for planning, management and evaluation purposes.• To provide in service training to the DGHS staff.• To conduct the ad-hoc surveys and studies needed for the Regional office or the Ministry of Health. • Organising and conducting workshop for the Health Information & Research section ,DGHS, Muscat• Estimation of Population and demographic indicators• Maintain the Health Information database • Training Sr. Health Information Supervisor • Member of the Regional Research committee of Muscat Governorate, Oman• Co-conductor of Research methodology workshop conducted by the Health Information & Research Section, DGHS, Muscat• Facilitator for Research methodology workshops• Co Supervisor for one of the team for research methodology workshop• Sample size calculation for various studies conducted by the region and staff of MOH• Statistics analysis for various studies conducted by the region.• Member of regional research committee of Governorate of Muscat, Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman• Statistical guidance • Creation of accreditation database of Training section of DGHS• Series of lecture to medical and Para-medical staff on “Statistics and research methodology”• Series of lecture on Statistics and epidemiology to doctors ,appearing for MRCP/ FRCS exam• Spatial distribution study on OPD attendance -2000• Spatial distribution study on Bousher EHC-2001• Study on utilization of Ambulance -2001• Study on Sickleave at Governorate of Muscat• Speaker for many training workshops in statistics
