The highlight in this role was the creation of a performance culture on the shop floor through a rigorous shift wise review mechanism with focus on safety, quality, wastage and production and creating a connect with the floor team. This has helped us in achieving the plant’s ever highest production in 2015 (almost 20000 tons-3000 above 2014) with increase in OEE by 4%, reduction in wastage by 14% and without any major safety incident.Projects:1. Responsible for handling entire processing operations of a 720 ton/day capacity plant from oil deliveries, storage, bleaching, filtration, saponification, drying to noodle storage in silos-ready for mixing. Ensured zero loss of soap shortage from processing plant by reducing drier and conveyor breakdowns. Developed maintenance checklists of critical equipment and ensured timely maintenance.

Responsible for handling shift operations of 650 tons packing plant with a unionized staff of 170 workers including permanent and contingent. Experience of handling multiple Binacchi and Acma machines with speeds of 500 tablets/min etc. along with catering staff issues. Lead circle teams to achieve line and plant OEE ensuring safety and quality.

Projects:1. Worked on GMP compliance of Unilever 3rd party personal care plant. 2. Standardization of manufacturing code on all SKUs across cosmetics and food categories.3. Implementation of Unilever warehousing standards at customer/distributor level to improve product quality and ensure consumer receives 100% defect free product.
