Tech lead -> Senior Manager -> Director. Incubated, built and grew Cisco's internal PaaS (Dragonfly) infrastructure for Cloud, On-Prem and Hybrid deployments supporting Cisco enterprise networking businesses. This platform powers 5+ cloud SaaS offers and 15K+ on-prem Cisco DNAC deployments contributing to an ARR of over $1B+.- Built a team of 20+ highly skilled and passionate engineers from ground up. Subsequently assumed responsibility for additional teams with an organization size of 45+ engineers and managers. - Developing people, strategy, vision and architecture for Core Infrastructure Group.- At a high level, the platform encompasses the following subsystems: - Cluster Control Plane and Services: Kubernetes native custom lifecycle APIs to manage application workloads and platform dependencies. - Managed Services: Provide distributed messaging and storage systems as a service. Responsible for automated provisioning, service discovery, HA, credential management, backup and restore operations for MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Redis, and RabbitMQ. - Cluster Infrastructure : GitOps based infrastructure as code platform. Build and lifecycle manage secure and compliant Kubernetes clusters in AWS. - Continuous Delivery as a Service: GitOps based, declarative, policy driven application roll out infrastructure. - Observability Stack: Comprehensive and centralized observability infrastructure to instrument, collect and visualize metrics and logs. - Management Plane: Single pane management infrastructure for fleet of Dragonfly based clusters across cloud and on-prem deployments. Manage workloads, troubleshoot and triage incidents. - App Containers: SDKs and frameworks to develop microservices based applications in Python, Java, NodeJS and Go.- Tech Stack: Python, Go, Kubernetes, PaaS, AWS, ElasticSearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, gRPC, Terraform, Linux.
