Project: Webkit Web-browser for MFPs (Multi-functional Printers)Client: Konica Minolta, Inc.Details: This was a sustenance-engineering project on MFPs (Multi-functional Printers), which involves the development and enhancement of new functionalities in the “Webkit browser”, debug market/test-phase reported defects in “Webkit browser” area and apply feasible fix, for different models.The scope of work in the project includes all the phases of S/W life-cycle.As Team Lead, I was responsible for:• Gather the requirement and perform task-planning, allocation, and tracking.• Designing and implementing various new features• Assisting team-members on various technical issues, faced during designing, implementation and bug-fixing phases of their modules/tasks • Coordinate with technical and business stakeholders to collect product information and interact at various levels of an organization.• Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.

Project: Windows Tablet PlatformDetails: HCL team had the responsibility of maintaining and upgrading various tools, being used to automate the validation of various drivers and platform features, on the next version of Windows-based tablets. This involved in bug-fixing, updating the current application and writing automation scripts.As Team Lead, I was responsible for:• Development and testing of various automation frameworks, being used to validate various platform features and drivers.• Installation and maintenance of distributed automation and reporting tools.• Analyzing of the issues with testing tools.• Writing automation scripts, using Python.• Client interaction. Once the bugs were identified, tickets were being opened in their bug-tracking tool and being assigned to concerned stakeholders.• Assignment and tracking of tasks, given to team-members

Project: WINDOWS-8 TABLETDetails: HCL team had the responsibility of executing and analyzing the test-cases for each of the 3rd party drivers (for all the subsequent releases), for the Windows-8 based tablet platform. All the HCL team-members are located at Client-location in USA.As Team Lead, I was responsible for:• Setting-up the test-framework to run the test-cases for various 3rd party drivers for Bluetooth, NFC (Near-Field Communication), WiFi, GPS.• Installing the various components of the framework – WHCK Controller + Studio, imaging the test-device with the latest OS, Firmware, default drivers, 3rd party drivers (to be tested), WHCK Client. • Performing tests pertaining to Hibernation and Camera• Verifying logged HSDs in the above-mentioned areas, on the latest builds. • Perform smoke, stress, and repro tests on Devices with different configurations.• Identifying new test scenarios and logging new bugs.• Doing a failure analysis of Failed Test results.• Team training and knowledge transfers

Project: DSLR UI Development and IntegrationClient: Sony Corporation JapanDetails: HCL team had the responsibility of development and bug-fixing of all the views and widgets for a new Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera (DSLR), based on the MV-design pattern software. The camera system supports various resolutions, frame rates, choice of recording media, and outputs monitoring.As Lead, I was responsible for:• Assisting team for Requirement Understanding, Design, and Coding of various features.• Estimation and Scheduling• Developing views and widgets for Playback feature• Client interaction• Resolving team queries• Bug fixingProject: STO (Sever Tool Online) framework support and migrationClient: Microsoft CorporationDetails: HCL Team had the responsibility of providing support for the mobile version of the STO (Sever Tool Online) framework. The responsibilities for the team included bug fixing, implementing new features, automating the testing and release testing of the framework libraries.As an Automation Test Lead, I was responsible for • Designing the porting strategy for the complete Desktop version of the STO FX framework to mobile, conforming WAP protocol.• Implementing the Agent-Driver-TestSuite model for automating the test procedure.• Performance testing using PerfMon• Troubleshooting client issues.

Project: AdCenter SupportDetails: AdCenter is an umbrella project of Microsoft, where a lot many sub-projects are running to develop various components, needed to develop and overall complete system of advertising on web-sites. During development and testing phase of these components, virtual machines are created on high-processing speed machines, using COOPER VM creator. This way, more than one VM (with different OS and configuration) are created, so as to build and test the applications/components. COOPER allows the developers to get code tested in quicker cycles and is private to the developer or the team using it. As a Senior Developer, I was responsible for • Managing the COOPER labs• Automating the deployment package test-cases using KAIF automation framework.• Monitor the deployment and investigate failures (troubleshoot system issues, databases, and custom application issues).• Performance testing of the deployment of various components using Perfmon.• Monitoring the health of various VMs and providing the solutions to failures• Perform problem-solving, and resolution of application-related issues

Project: PV Media Codecs/Player SEClient: PacketVideo Corporation, USA.Detail: HCL had the responsibility of maintaining, enhancing, and testing the media player capabilities on a varied range of embedded devices for a period of 4 years. HCL was also into complete end-to-end ownership (including triaging, identifying issues, fixing them, development of the automation framework and functional/release testing) of the product, and for the release of newer versions of it. Being part of the automation team, I was responsible for • Designing and developing an XML driven test framework to automate the testing of Packet Video Media Player.• Defining the XML based language for the test framework.• Involved in understanding the bug and identifying the cause of the bug.Project: Piping and Isometric Drawing ToolClient: Kidde, USA.Details: The purpose of the tool is to provide isometric drawing (dynamically), capability to the user interface. This enables the user to quickly generate piping systems for hydraulic calculation as well as enabling the user to virtually see the piping systems in an isometric display. Tool requires all the flexibility of any CAD tool.As a team member, I was responsible for • Requirement Analysis.• Design and development of application using VB.Net, ADO.Net and SQL Server.• Designing and implementing the features like Zooming and Undo/Redo.• Regular client interaction to get the feedback on modules or regular basis, so as to minimize the need to make corrections.• Providing newer suggestions so as to change the SRS, as provided by the client, so as to accomplish the target with fewer modifications.• Integrating the Piping Isometric Tool with the client’s already existing application ( that was without any User-Interface).• Perform code review and testing.
