Dardis Academy's Classroom to Career Program helps college students, like myself, learn what it takes to run a successful small business. It offers real-life experiences from the moment a student is accepted into the program. Students who are selected to be a part of the elite program complete a 10 week challenge. The first week, students participate in the Academy in May, which is a week long, skills-based training session in Des Moines, IA. Topics covered include: presentation skills, selling skills, professional presence and image, business writing, networking skills, and time and territory management. Following the Academy, students return to their hometowns ready to apply their skills in running their own apparel business. We are fully trained and know how to manage our schedule, approach prospective customers, demonstrate professional communication skills, deliver an impressive presentation highlighting our products' features and benefits, ask for the business and gain referrals. Our customers appreciate the knowledge and tools we share with them on professional image and wardrobe management. The unique business model gives students a competitive edge from start to finish.
