System Monitoring and Control• Oversees the real time monitoring and control of sub-transmission and distribution system via SCADA, ADMS, single line diagrams, GIS maps ensuring optimal system performance in accordance with guidelines embodied in System Operating Manual and Safety Codes• Monitor system parameters, alarms, events and immediately perform corrective actions and coordinate with the concerned engineers to respond to any abnormality• Respond to system disturbance in the transmission and sub-transmission system and execute switching operations to restore interruption and restore the system compliant with N-1 contingency, in close coordination with National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), Independent Power Plant Producers (IPP) and engineers for appropriate action• Perform restoration of outages in substation and distribution facilities through fault location isolation and restoration of healthy portion in close coordination with field crews and engineers• Implement Manual Load Dropping and restoration of Automatic Load Dropping (ALD) during generation deficiency and plant outage to maintain frequency within limits in coordination with NGCP’s System Operator • Execute 230kV, 115kV, 34.5kV & 13.8kV planned outages and commissioning of new equipment or circuit in coordination with Operations Planning Unit, IPP, NGCP and concerned offices• Conduct power flow simulations using PSS/E to validate proposed switching schemes for planned outage and prepare contingency analysis • Issues dispatch instructions to the IPPs in accordance with the approved scheduleOperations Planning• Facilitate the evaluation and scheduling of planned outage for the sub-transmission and distribution system to allow the maintenance, upgrade and commissioning of line and equipment • Prepare detailed switching procedures with the most appropriate network configuration and schedule for the job in coordination with NGCP, IPP, concerned office and core customers
