As a customer service professional, working for Florida Power and Light, or in my "Product Support/Technical Analyst" role, my experience and knowledge have enabled me to deal with people in high pressure situations under difficult circumstances. During my time with Caterpillar, I faced many challenges. When a multi million dollar pc of equipment or an assembly line goes down, the costs in lost/down time are huge. My job has been to consult with the customer to offer technical advice and a solution to their problem. This included using six sigma DMAIC methodology, partnering with suppliers and working with the design engineering group I have authored and published numerous technical reports on the many different facets of the metal face seal business and I am considered an SME in the metal face seal business.One of the most satisfying things in my career, has been to assist customers having sealing problems. This has included traveling to customer sites to identify the problem, then working with my colleague's and suppliers to address and correct the problem. I have traveled and worked closely with our engineering sales reps. On customer visits, I consult and make application specific recommendations. based on my experience and knowledge of the product. If I didn't have data to make a recommendation, I used the VOC to acquire application specific information. With information provided by the customer, I would develop and implement a validation test plan. Results enabled me to author and publish technical reports and make recommendations to the customer.
