I became the youngest Town Councillor in Wadebridge in a bid to help positively shape the future of the town. I regard this position in the same way I do my marketing roles – it’s a case of effectively meeting the communities’ demands in a way that is profitable through providing efficient two-way communication channels. I founded our Wadebridge Youth Council as a way of providing young people with a voice. This position teaches me patience, gravitas and how to work with all personalities.

Following my interest in sustainability, I became a founding director of Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network (WREN), a social enterprise committed to creating a low-carbon economy. Eden Project

Cornwall Together is borne from the spirit of community and the power of strength in numbers. It's essentially a collective energy buying scheme, with roots that delve much deeper into community engagement. The project aims to also create more resilient communities, a deeper sense of togetherness and much needed financial savings as we negotiate as a powerful unit.My role is to coordinate and communicate the benefits of working together through a range of digital channels.

This role consists of developing and delivering marketing activity to increase awareness of the Eden Project's online shop and drive sales. This includes viral communications through social media, newsletters, writing articles for various blogs, and helping to produce a biannual catalogue. I use Google Keywords to optimise all content I write and ensure its found by the target audience. I then monitor and analyse the marketing activity using Google Analytics for continual improvement.
