Leader of the strategic team, developing the strategic roadmap and working with operational management to install it. Heads a diverse and cross-functional team of contractors and employees to execute this roadmap; skills includes change management, project management (from complete terminal construction to gate automation and replacement; digital cloud migrations (into both AWS and Azure) to complete enterprise system replacements (partnering on the development of OneStop MODAL)); stakeholder engagement; procurement; key supplier management (government bodies, internal stakeholders, vendors, indigenous groups, industry partners, and customers); and operational management including day-to-day leadership of teams of contractors and employees. This role includesdeveloping and presenting strategic papers that align long-term capital projects with operationalneeds, providing critical insights and recommendations to the Managing Director. This role also oversees the IT division’s performance across the entire business group.

This role is on the board of ContainerCo (NZL) Ltd. I am also the alternative chairman.

As part of the Future Director's programme, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra appointed a junior director to sit on their board. I was selected based on my experience in especially the information technology space, but also due to my private-sector commercial background, and because of people-skills.

Managed and oversaw information technology and capital investment projects, under the direction of the Managing Director. This included assuming management of an operational empty container terminal while completing a roughly 1 million NZD remediation of its paving system.The development of new technologies, including gaining a patent for a solar-powered containerizedlighting/digital mesh system to replace fixed lighting poles. This also included large-scale businessanalyst activities, including procurement RFP design and the subsequent negotiations for vendorssuch as communication providers (circa 1 million NZD), IT Infrastructure as a Service vendors (circa$500,000 NZD), and civil contractors while continuing to enhance operational efficiency andinfrastructure development. Also negotiated a grant from the New Zealand government to procureNew Zealand’s first electric container heavy vehicle ($300,000 NZD).

Planned and executed project deliverables, including digital open courses and materials for theAustralian government and Victoria Museum, while adhering to tight deadlines. Designed and led theproject program to achieve on-time and on-budget completion, ensuring satisfaction among allstakeholders and meeting project objectives. Was seconded to the In Flanders Fields museum inYpres (Belgium) to work on their Landscape Witness project, and their temporary exhibition team.
