I’m interested in the entrepreneurship opportunities at UTS Startups and UTS Tech Lab. This excites to have a safe environment to test ideas and solve problems to better the world around me.When I started to think about which university, one particular offering stood out over the other universities – the two 6 month Industry Partner work placements - a significant advantage to help accelerate my learnings, build connections early and grow relationships with Industry Partners, and understand the context of the work environment for future employment during and/or after my studies. I look forward to learning about the real world applications of mathematics (calculus, trigonometry) and how they can be implemented. Interested to work onsite: buildings, bridges, roads, tunnels and railways.I am recognised as being co-operative, supportive, trustworthy with my peers, teachers, school and community. I am positive and enjoy teamwork. I have demonstrated taking on more responsibilities and learning more about leadership through experiences with my peers. Leadership is both respecting others and self-respect.My personal attributes, skills and work experience have contributed to my successes including my high levels of enthusiasm and passion for Mathematics, Sport & Co-Curricular activities to hold me in good stead for my personal and professional life to excel in Civil Engineering & Construction: Elective DT, Construction Work Placement 2x Residential Projects (70 hours), Certificate II in Construction: design skills CAD/sketching, advanced practical skills in joinery, surveying, concreting, measurement, calculations, interpreting plans/specifications.
