As a teaching assistant, I am responsible for helping Doctor Smith complete daily tasks within a classroom environment. I also help her with leading a small group and recovering lecture material every Tuesday and Thursday. Along with leading a recitation I also help with grading student assignments in accordance with the BYU grading criteria and providing individual guidance to students with learning disabilities or behavioral challenges.

As a research associate, I coordinate with various professors to ensure project deadlines are met and help provide critical analysis to develop fuel cells powered by various types of biomass. In this role, I also had the opportunity to analyze our progress through mass spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, NMR spectrometry, and capillary electrophoresis.

I am currently collaborating with BYU professors, staff, and fellow students to explore opportunities to use a catalyst that we have developed in order to manipulate glucose and create an innovative renewable resource.

I currently hold the position of Spanish interpreter for the Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy clinic in Provo. I help bridge the language gap between patients and doctors, administer information to both parties and ensure a successful resolution

As part of my role at Community Health Connect, I serve as a Spanish interpreter, accompanying individuals to doctor appointments for those whose insurance does not cover doctor appointments. In my tenure I have improved communication between both parties and increased the level of care and transparency during meetings.

In this position, I assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.

I am currently a founding board member for the non-profit organization Arizona Mission to Mexico. As a part of this non-profit, we organize trips down to rural farming towns of Baja California in Mexico to build houses for those in need.
