I feel like, at this stage in my mid 30’s, that every step that I have taken in life has led me to where I am in my career today. I started out receiving education in the performance theatre world. Once I realised what it truly took to be successful in that field, I rethought my path (one of the toughest decisions of my life). Instead I took a fork in the road - down what would be, for the lack of a better term, the administrative prong. This was comfortable. Safe. I was good at this. I worked at a ‘Telco’ in New Zealand for almost four years - learning from fantastic leaders and my inspired peers. This shaped my administrative career into partly what it is today. But it wasn’t enough. Of course - as fate would have it, I had the urge to return to the performance/ theatre world. In 2014 I found the perfect job. Up until this point it was the stellar symbiosis of my current life and previous performance based life. It joined these two worlds together in what would be a dream role - Tour Managing at a Theatre Company. This drew on my previous administrative experience, all while also showing that I had new skills to bring to the table. Leadership. Crisis Management. Stress Management. Delegation. With every new test, I came out the other end with a fantastic new skill. Three and a half years later, my partner and I decided that a move abroad was in order. So in October of 2017, I said goodbye to my dream job - and hello to Europe! In April of 2018 I was employed as Faculty Manager for Goodbye Kansas Group, located in Stockholm, Sweden. That was another absolute dream position, and I made the most out of the amazing opportunity that has been presented to me! But as they say, all good things must come to an end - and due to an unavoidable set of circumstances, in September of 2023 I had to move on!I am now employed at Scrive AB - as the Workplace Manager, enjoying the new challenges that this role throws my way, while also being able to do what I do best!
