As the Transportation Planner for Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HARTransit), I aimed to incorporate a transit-oriented approach to mobility and development both within Greater Danbury and across the Southwestern Connecticut region. My focus was geared towards planning the role that current and future transportation services play throughout the region and how I could continue to enhance mobility experiences for all riders. • Coauthored 2017 Western Connecticut Commuter Parking Inventory and presented report to regional MPO• Analyzed and leveraged service performance data to enhance existing route structure• Designated reporter for generating annual and monthly Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) data packages• Responsible for creation and distribution of Administrative Run Guide, containing essential files for HARTransit Operations, Finance and Service Development departments. Enclosed materials include payroll summaries, driver run summaries, headway sheets (schedules), paddles and bus stop sign inventories.• Coauthored 2016 SweetHART Operational Analysis and presented report to regional MPO • Produced Title VI Plan in compliance with FTA requirements and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. • Managed installation of bus-stop-sign project. The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) is a business improvement district that strives to vitalize downtown Bridgeport, CT by connecting the downtown community with initiatives such as economic prosperity, design projects, and the promotion of cultural events in order to enhance the environment of the city center. In my position at the DSSD, I worked on both large and small scale community development planning projects. My focus concentrated on economic expansion, uniting security infrastructure, addressing Bridgeport’s “food desert” condition, parking management, and analyzing data from the weekly summer concert series to shape next year’s experience. The essential focus of our team was creating a strong sense of place by positioning Downtown Bridgeport to be a vibrant, healthy, and livable urban center. In my role as Special Projects Manager, I worked to activate downtown Bridgeport. Details of considerable projects are depicted below.• Designed and helped facilitate the implementation of a parking application and corresponding permit to convenience non-commercial delivery vehicles in downtown Bridgeport. • Created files to help pinpoint and unify the security camera infrastructure into a fusion center, which will allow authorities to access all publicly owned security cameras from a central location via IP addresses. The goal is to have all of the downtown under surveillance to be able to promptly and efficiently address future public safety concerns.• Established economic baseline measures in order to compare the central business district to others within the region and to set a standard for weighing future economic impacts. • Created separate guest and business satisfaction surveys for the DSSD’s weekly summer concert series, Downtown Thursdays, in order to understand the public’s perception of the events. Compiled data from survey results into graphical representations to best portray conclusions.
