Attorney-advisor with focus on policy development in pollution prevention initiatives through involvement with a broad array of government and private sector stakeholders engaged in developing ANSI accredited sustainability standards and associated implementation guidance for use by large institutional purchasers. Presently engaged in the private sector as a corporate sustainability attorney/consultant, but recently served as US EPA participant in development of NSF 391.1, “General Sustainability Assessment Criteria for Professional Services.” Advisor and participant to committees and technical advisory groups organized through various standards development organizations, including ASTM International, NSF International, Underwriters Laboratories, the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council, UNEP and ISO, focused on the development of institutional sustainable purchasing criteria, service sector sustainability practice and general policy. OTHER EPA ACTIVITIES:2017 – Deployed as Community Outreach Coordinator with EPA Region 2 Hurricane Maria/Irma Emergency Response, San Juan Puerto Rico.2004 – Deployed as Community Outreach Coordinator with EPA Region 6 Hurricane Katrina Emergency Response, Metairie, Louisiana. 2001 to 2002 – Detailed to EPA Region 10, Seattle, WA, Office of Civil Rights and Environmental Justice. Assigned to research and report on environmental issues involving migrant and seasonal farmworkers in the Pacific Northwest.
