This position provided additional focus to drive long-term efficiencies and greater productivity across the company's internal business support services. Responsible for creating strategic alternatives for the Company’s Shared Services organization which is responsible for providing overall back-office support to the major product lines of the Company. These critical functions include facilities management, security & fire, non-production material procurement, accounts payable, Company travel, payroll, and enterprise services, which include a portfolio of international and domestic HR, communications and business services. The shared services organization is comprised of roughly 8,000 employees serving nearly 140,000 Boeing employees world-wide. This position reported directly to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Responsible for managing the company’s financial and cost accounting, external reporting cost policy, companywide estimating, business operations, actuarial, and common business systems. Principle interface with The Boeing Company Board of Directors Audit Committee. Additional responsibilities include Chairman of the Company’s Disclosure Committee and the Controller’s Council, member of the Employee Benefits Committee, the Employee Benefits Investment Committee, and the Compliance Risk Management Committee, Significant accomplishments include major improvements in the Quarterly closing process and our financial reporting, implementation and optimization of SOX compliance, and establishment of process focused networks to enable fundamental change. This position reported directly to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Responsible for all financial operations within this $3.2B business unit which include accounting operations, payment services, travel accounting, consultant contracts, export compliance, strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, financial systems strategy and processes, business management, program planning and control, corporate development support, and Company-wide import compliance. Responsible for the financial aspects of payroll and timekeeping, and employee benefit plan administration. Additionally, responsible for the management of the Boeing Travel Management Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company that handles all Boeing business travel in addition to serving other corporate clients and leisure travelers. BTMC is the 19th largest travel company in the United States. Other responsibilities include SSG program management leadership and best practices implementation on SSG sponsored programs. Represent the Shared Services organization on several key policy making teams responsible for finance and program management; is a member of the Board of Directors of the Boeing Realty Company; and, is an assistant Secretary of the Boeing Company. This position reported directly to the President, Shared Services Group.
