I have had a varied and colorful career that has led me to where I am today. I have done everything from joinery, engineering work, driving London buses, farming, lorry driving and finally starting Castle Alarm Securities.In the early 1980's, in the middle of the mining strikes, I had to make a difficult and life changing decision about my career. I had forged a lucrative business in the 70's transporting mining equipment throughout the united kingdom. But with the writing on the wall for the mining industry I decided to start looking to set up a new business. A neighbor of mine had first sparked my interest in 'Burglar Alarms' when they had one fitted in the early 80's. Flicking through Exchange and Mart I saw an advert asking for people to take a course in Bristol to install alarms. With £400, me and my wife set up our new business in 1983. 3 years later we welcomed our daughter, Christina, into our life and moved to our current location in Heage. Castle Alarm Securities is one of the East Midlands largest intruder alarm specialists thanks to our loyal and extensive customer base. We specialize in both wired and wireless technologies for home and business as well as CCTV systems, monitored alarms and bespoke security solutions. Our customers come from a wide range of backgrounds including small domestic alarms, large country houses, small to medium business and properties on the Chatsworth Estate. 30 years on, our business is going from strength to strength. We are growing our business and looking to diversify by working with other businesses and starting an online business. Our daughter has now joined the business and is the driving force behind our business going forward into a bright future.
