CurrentAttorney Ryan is a trial lawyer. His civil litigation practice, in both state and federal courts, spans a variety of fields, including legal malpractice defense, product liability, premises liability, automobile liability, dram shop liability, construction accident liability, sports liability and general tort liability. He has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict over the past 40 years.Attorney Ryan is licensed to practice all Vermont superior courts, the Vermont Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court, District of Vermont, (1975) the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, (1975) and the U.S. Supreme Court, (1980). He received his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1975 and his B.A. from the University of Vermont in 1972.A former U.S. Olympic Alpine Ski Team member, he has represented ski areas and ski-related manufacturers, ski academies, industries and individuals. Attorney Ryan is a Trustee of the Killington Mountain School, co-founded the Pico Ski Education Foundation and is a Founder and Director of the Killington World Cup Foundation. He was inducted into the VARA Ski Hall of Fame in 2013.Attorney Ryan has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest “AV” Preeminent rating.
