Collaborating with colleagues working in embassies overseas to develop our strategic approach to regional engagement. I led engagements with foreign counterparts to mitigate the loss of regional capabilities following the Taliban takeover of Kabul.Strategising and implementing relationship-building activities in the Central Asian Republics to build a sustainable Home Office presence in the region.Devising a refreshed Afghanistan Engagement Strategy to maintain policy effectiveness following the loss of our capability infrastructure in-country. This involved analysis of in-country reporting to investigate the impact of the Afghan fallout on Home Office / UK Government equities.Close cooperation with policy leads and colleagues working overseas to build visit proposals for senior government officials on relationship-building campaigns with Central Asian governments.Representing the UK government in key discussions with international counterparts. This required the diplomatic expertise to carefully navigate delicate conversations and reach outcomes that satisfied all parties, while prioritising Home Office objectives.Working across multiple workstreams simultaneously to consistently deliver desirable outcomes. Being a Desk Officer requires an ability to act as the central axis between a number of different policy areas to coordinate a concerted response to issues.Influencing key stakeholders involved in policymaking to ensure strategies are adequately implemented. Working closely with the Private Office of the Minister of State for Security to arrange defence engagements with international counterparts in the fight for Ukraine.Building strong networks with colleagues across government and counterparts in partner countries to streamline Home Office responses to the Ukraine crisis. I worked with the Ukrainian First Political Secretary and domestic policy teams to communicate refugee schemes for Ukrainian citizens escaping the conflict.Arranging Home Office international engagements with partner governments to coordinate an international response to the events in Ukraine.Compiling ministerial briefs and submissions to ensure senior officials are kept informed on key Ukraine policy developments.Working both with colleagues from Ukraine response teams across government and colleagues working from Embassies and High Commissions to provide in depth evidence-based assessments to assist decision-making.Drafting bi-weekly reporting on political and security developments for senior officials. The conflict in Ukraine required constant analysis of the critical point where politics and security intersected. This meant regular communication with the intelligence community to understand how policy decisions could impact political relationships.Key workstream: I collaborated with the Moldovan government to coordinate the delivery of Humanitarian Equipment from the UK to support their needs following the influx of refugees from Ukraine.

As Digital Marketing Manager, I owned, devised and delivered the global growth marketing strategy for Law Business Research’s newest legal publication ‘Global Data Review’ (GDR). Responsibilities included: Creating digital marketing campaigns to promote GDR across the legal industry. This included drafting promotional marketing copy in the same style and tone of voice as GDR journalists for a consistent brand narrative.Collaborating closely with GDR journalists and the Editor in Chief to align marketing campaigns with publication material. This included coordinating GDR’s publishing schedule with marketing campaign launches to maximise exposure across the legal industry. Management of GDR’s website content to increase traffic and users while optimising brand exposure. After my arrival there was increase in the following metrics: Pageviews: +655%, Users: +230%, Social Referral: +210%, LinkedIn Users: +346% and overall traffic: +375%. Implementation of strategic marketing campaigns tailored to customer retention or customer growth depending on brand objectives. Sent an average of five email marketing campaigns every month and six lead generation campaigns.
