Founded and led a new global business investment transaction advisory practice at PwC that focused on emerging markets. The practice advised on transactions for clients--corporates, banks, institutional investors, private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds--not only on "inbound" investment from advanced countries into emerging markets but also "outbound" market entry into advanced country markets by investors domiciled in emerging markets. A growing part of the business also focused on cross-border transactions by entities based in one emerging market entering into another emerging market. Average annual consulting revenues were approximately $US 7 million on a global basis. Built a new team of 20+ professionals located worldwide. Clients were of diverse nationalities, and often engaged in high-impact investments in multi-country deals. The majority of engagements were generated on a proactive/sole-source basis. In addition to Senior Managing Director and running this management consulting practice, I also served as PwC's Chief Economist.
