At 81, Harry is cheerful, active, and determined. Although retired, Dictor has not let age stop him from pursuing new projects and passions. An entrepreneur by nature, Dictor is a successful self-made businessman who knows a thing or two about launching a business, sustaining a business, marketing that business, and when the time is right, expanding that business. Harry Dictor joined the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) in 1988, thinking it would be a useful diversion from his successful real estate development and construction business. Little did he know that 25 years later, he would still be actively involved as a Senior Counselor. SCORE is a non-profit organization that is sponsored by the Small Business Administration. Dictor says, “It’s just been great for me. After I retired, I couldn’t just stop working.” Harry Dictor was quoted in the Los Angeles Times as saying, “SCORE is the most fun I think I’ve ever had.”Harry is a big opera fan, loves musicals, and enjoys good conversation.
