I found a spot on a team called SpecTechIT and, even though the job title is mundane, the job is anything but. We support a wide array of technologies and teams too. There are things here I cannot discuss but you will see them in the marketplace and be amazed. The team is a cool bunch of folks and they work together in a way that is a breath of fresh air for me. Our team supports the day to day operations as well as presentations of technology in an ever expanding array of tech events near and far. Designing a line of tactical musical instrument cases for everyday, flight and shipping. Currently working on lightweight but heavy duty trombone cases. The line will include Alto, Tenor, bass and Contra-bass trombones as well as double trombone cases. The doubles will accommodate tenor/alto, tenor/tenor, tenor/bass configurations. • Established the receiving program which provided receiving functions for the entire Windows Division under LMX (Lab Management Excellence Program), resulting in a timely and reliable delivery of customer orders.• Created receiving processes and documentation and trained vendor personnel to process daily receiving thus replacing a full time position.• Processed all pallet type Server delivery to the labs by creating a single point of receiving covering all 40+ Windows division labs resulting in less missed deliveries and more accountability for capital asset purchases. • Established processes for the inventory/delivery/accounting of RT/SOC/WOA secret type devices. • Created automated tests of the HCT (Hardware Compatibility Test Kit under WTT improving the quality of kit testing by introducing hands-off repeatability of testing.• Discovered shortcoming in the setup process in the absence of an internet connection collaborated with the developer and the customer to test possible and final solutions resulting in a smart setup that installed in any customer environment.• Worked with the Security developer to test comprehensive Anti-tampering testing for the Logo program HCT Kit. • Presented new storage devices, tests and test kits on the WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) team for customers attending Plugfests and WINHEC.• Administrated WHQL testing of storage and enterprise storage devices for logo.• Created and managed the Enterprise Testing Lab, setting up networking, cabling and lab design in Visio, resulting in testing personnel reduced from two to one. • Managed the WHQL Storage testing lab doing maintenance, deployment of systems and organizing network cabinets and wiring which enabled the lab to add computer capacity for faster and more comprehensive testing of storage devices.• Managed team lab move, planning, planning meetings, lab surveys and scheduling while standing in for my manager on a 4 month leave of absence.
