Project Associate
CurrentAs part of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, my role involves designing and analysing building penetrations for nuclear facilities, focusing on factors such as interface loads, seismic activity, and pressure forces. Evaluating various opening solutions for cost-effectiveness and suitability, ensuring safety functions such as confinement, fire protection, and shielding requirements are met. Using software like STAAD Pro, I conduct Finite Element Modelling to ensure structural integrity. Detailed technical specifications covering loading conditions, material selection, and installation procedures are authored, while analysis results are documented in comprehensive reports. I also conduct independent technical reviews and support the Construction Team by addressing Requests for Information and Field Change Request forms, ensuring smooth project execution and adherence to safety standards throughout construction.
