⬩ Increased New York City Public School use of our facilities from one school during after school hours to four neighborhood schools visiting during the school day, two schools during after school hours, as well as one school and one camp during Summer months⬩ Facilitate local colleges and universities programs for matriculating students’ required volunteer hours and project credit to fulfill degree requirements⬩ Recruit and train additional Middle School and High School Community Garden Teachers for our educational programs ⬩ Host class trips to the community garden which to date have impacted over 290 District 3 and 5 Public School children; children are educated on civic engagement and sustainability with NYC

Appointment by the Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine and serve the New York City Metropolitan area as well as the greater New York State region as an economic and environmental policy advisor, educator and activist in aiding New York City manage resources, budgets, and monitor waste output. I also serve as a Steering Committee Member At Large on the board.⬩ Advocate for increased producer responsibility and reduced plastic packaging at the New York State Capitol in joint collaboration with ‘Beyond Plastics’ lobbying efforts; meet with Assemblymembers and Senators to speak on these issues⬩ Apply for grants to promote sustainability initiatives within the borough. Currently under review is an application for the All In the Neighborhood Grant through Citizens Committee for NYC⬩ Established a community-based mending circle in the Morningside Heights Library bringing together a diverse population; It aims to be a replicable model which teaches repair skills and showcases local menders’ expertise, as well as educating the public on the need for increased sustainability initiatives.

⬩ Increased family participation in the PTA by almost 40% going from 10% of student body to 14%⬩ Achieved the largest one-time Annual Appeal Direct Giving Campaign Event in institutional working memory for a total of over $5,000 given toward our Annual Appeal goal ⬩ Organized and sponsored a “Back To School” networking opportunity for incoming families
