About Harvey Lou

Harvey is an associate of Sidley Austin LLP and a J.D. graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Class of 2024 Prior to Sidley, he served as an associate editor for the Journal of Business Law, the Vice President of the Litigation Finance Group, the Conference Marketing Chair for APALSA, and the 2L Representative for the Penn Business Law Association. He spent his summer of 2022 working on an amicus brief for a Supreme Court case under the guidance of Professor Michael Knoll at the University of Pennsylvania. Moreover, he was a former extern at the World Wildlife Fund in D.C. Formerly, he graduated from The University of Texas at Austin as an economics major with a business minor. Throughout his time in college, he was an editor for the Texas Undergraduate Law Review, served as vice president in the Texas Business Law Association, and participated as an officer in Well Aware, a philanthropic organization dedicated to finding sustainable water solutions for villages in East Africa. In addition to his commitment to various student organizations, he was also the lead teaching assistant for Foundations of International Business and briefly lectured to a class of nearly 200 students. Harvey was selected along with 7 other candidates across the US from various law schools as a part of the Inaugural Weil Gotshal & Manges' Legal Innovator Program where he worked for The Earthwatch Institute, a global nonprofit, towards the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
