Worked in the Bing Ads team to recommend missed location target opportunities to the advertisers using the historical data of the user and advertiser behavior. It helps the advertisers to bring more quality traffic, thus get more impressions, clicks, and conversions in their ads and bring more revenue. My responsibility was to architect the end-to-end location target recommendation generation pipeline, which mostly involved big data analytics and mining using the HPC platforms in the back-end as well as designing and developing a scalable middle tier infrastructure platform for the recommendation engine.

My research primarily lies in the areas of Big Data & Graph (Network) Analytics, Parallel Algorithms & Distributed Systems, and High-Performance Computing. I am fortunate to be co-advised by Drs. Madhav Marathe and Maleq Khan.► Designed a parallel algorithm for the edge switching problem in distributed memory systems. Edge switch can be used in generating random graphs (networks) from a given graph and studying the structural properties and dynamics (e.g., disease and opinion dynamics) over a network. Technology: C++, MPI.► Developed a parallel algorithm for generating binomial and multinominal random variables. Technology: C++, MPI.► Lead member of the network (graph) analysis team of "Cyber Infrastructure for Network Science (CINET)" project, which provides complex and large-scale network analysis and mining as a service through a web portal. Users can submit network analysis jobs by selecting a set of graph algorithms to run on a set of networks. CINET then performs the computations and returns the analysis results to the users. Users can further add their own algorithms, networks, resources to CINET. ✔ Designed and developed a Graph Algorithm Library (GALib), consisting of graph generators and algorithms (both sequential and parallel), which is the primary computation engine of CINET. They are used to analyze different structural properties of and dynamics on massive-scale real-world and artificial networks. Technology: C++, Java, Python, MPI, Hadoop, Giraph, NetworkX.✔ Added hundreds of real-world and artificial networks to CINET. Networks were generated and collected from network generators and literature, respectively. Technology: C++, Python, MPI, NetworkX.► Developed the computation engine of a web-based network visualizer. Technology: Java, Gephi toolkit.
