Moving images and stills always were of particular importance to me since an early age. The creative process involved in content making was of singular interest since I started to look at visual culture as a fundamental feature of contemporary society.Reading into economic theories and the philosophical thought during my times as an economics undergraduate led to further exploration of the fields of literature to seek a deeper critical understanding with which to understand the sociological, political, and cultural dynamics and paradigms that define our world. I wanted to flip the conventional on its head.During my time as a bachelors student, i decided to take up a diploma course in photography in order to understand the technicalities and the ethics involved within the field. I started my work as a freelance documentary photographer, where I specialized in both digital and analog (film) photography. After having worked as a freelance photographer for over 2 years, I wanted to use my understanding of the world around me from the lens often ignored conveniently and, therefore, wanted to experiment in moving images. In 2017, I decided to pursue my masters in visual anthropology and film from WWU Münster, Germany. During my masters, I worked on multiple projects that gave me an insight into the various pre and post production aspects of the filmmaking process. I had the opportunity to learn about anthropological and cinematic theories, while also refining my filmmaking skills. I had the opportunity to work with accomplished filmmakers during my masters which helped me improve my cinematographic and editing skills.Apart from the academic side of it, I also worked in a production company, Duellmann FilmProduktion, which is based in Berlin, Germany. I worked directly under the mentorship of Susanna Duellmann (CEO), which has been an incredible experience. I was able to learn (on field) about the bureaucratic and marketing side of filmmaking, and also had the opportunity to work on these issues first hand. The experience helped my creativity as well as introduced me to expert methods of editing, cinematography and sound design. I also understood the BTS aspect of the filmmaking and learned how to juggernaut through and gracefully handle the multiple hurdles involved in filmmaking. Despite the ambiguities within the field of arts, especially filmmaking, for people from the marginalised communities, I choose optimism and hope. With that hope, i am here trying to pitch myself to you.

Susanna is a film producer and a filmmaker who has worked on multiple films as part of the core team. During my time as an intern, Susanna was kind enough to let me focus on the Post-production part of the film making process where i edited multiple films, one of which got selected for premiers in multiple film festivals. Other than that, I also got to delve into the realm of film marketing and the bureaucracy, and Susanna helped my lean juggernaut through it. All in all working at Duellmann FilmProduktion was an interesting and a learning experience.
