Own and direct stringent and time-sensitive month end close process, including reconciliation of 5 bank accounts. Prepare complex areas of close and review entire package for accuracy. Direct financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and financial modeling. Oversee AP/AR process, as well as credit and collections.Manage all aspects of treasury; prepare cash flow projections and monitor cash balances daily. Review and approve sales tax reporting. Prepare analysis reports. Review budget vs. actuals and provide variance explanations. Develop and monitor company KPIs. Prepare payroll and assist with HR functions such as new employee information entry into payroll system. Monitor and update internal controls. Prepare financial packages for investors, board, and executive team.* Led project that successfully converted 3 years of company financials from cash to accrual basis in preparation for first audit, doing so as only accounting department hire. Brought accounting function in-house and develop all internal controls and policies. * Played key role in reducing month end close time by up to 47% (from 15 to 8 business days) by implementing several automation processes that reduced entry booking time.
