Thompson Precision is an Additive Machining business specializing in 3D printed aerospace parts. As the Process Engineer, my role included working with internal stakeholders to develop standard operating procedures, investigating root cause on non-conformance parts, and providing engineering resources to the manufacturing team.

Timberline Tool manufactures and sells Natural Gas and Firefighter tools. As the Mechanical Engineer tasked with leading Timberline's engineering department, I was responsible for the entire product development cycle from concept and design, to prototyping and machine programming.

ViZn Energy Systems is an Energy Storage Technology company designing large-scale battery products. My role as a Mechanical Engineer was to support the development, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems in the battery.

ATS Inland NW engineers and installs HVAC control systems in commercial buildings. As a Project Engineer, I was responsible for system engineering, coordinating with contractors to complete the system installation, managing project budgets, and interfacing directly with ATS customers for owner training.

As an Engineering Intern in the Advanced Manufacturing New Technology and Innovation Division, my primary duty was to create an innovative belt joining process to replace the existing caustic fume chemical process. I then developed a conceptual equipment design for implementation into production. In addition, I worked with the hydraulic hose department to analyze the dynamic loads of a steel braiding machine to identify optimization potential for increased production.

As an Intern at Johnson Controls, I studied overhead console vehicle lighting systems utilizing spectrophotometer scans to determine the level of correlation between computer simulation and lab testing of production parts. I also conducted anechoic chamber loudness testing on overhead console bin cam-and-follower mechanisms to assess potential countermeasures to decrease mechanism noise.

While working for the Engines Division of Kohler, I was a Corrective Action Engineer in charge of leading a three-person team in completing various and diverse engine reworks. I would create, implement, document, and publish each rework procedure and process. Typically, re-works were done in-house, but I had the opportunity to travel to customer locations as well to perform reworks and ensure product quality.
