Therapeutic Riding of Texas was originally created to provide a program of therapeutic horsemanship to children aged 5 – 12 with various mental and physical disabilities.Over the years, we have expanded our program to include both children and adults with mental, physical, emotional and learning challenges.Watch our video to meet some of our riders, parents and volunteers, see our facility and learn more about who we are.TROT is staffed entirely by volunteers and relies on donations for financing our operations.

Trained at the Irving, Texas store until the new building was completed in Cedar Hill. Putting the store together from the ground up was such an interesting experience. I realized how little I knew about books! The grand opening in 2000 was very exciting. It was great working in my hometown. Made many friends in spite of the hard work and crazy schedules.
