Current SituationDirector/Owner – Aero Service Support Limited on contract to Assystem UK Ltd as a Senior System Design Engineer / Engine Test & Technical Support Specialist since 2011.This company was set up in January 2011 to provide consultancy work for Gas Turbine Technical Support, Repair & Overhaul and Gas Turbine Test Facility projects having been involved within this industry for over 35 years. Since 2011, I have been working with Assystem UK in both Oldbury & Bristol in support of various Rolls-Royce projects including;• WR21 Marine Gas Turbine Engine Harness configuration and drawing updates using CADDS 5 & FORMTEK.• RR Trent 84k & 1000-TEN engine build process using Excel & AutoCAD.• Preparation of the Test Schedule and a detailed Fault Diagnostics Manual for a Helicopter Engine Test Facility at RNAS Yeovilton and RR in Oberusel, Germany for the RR Gnome engine.• Working as part of the Value Management Team to look at reducing costs within an Engine Total Support Programme. This included a review of the RR Gnome PLR (Part Life Rework) process. Proposed various technical changes were accepted by RR and the UK MoD without compromising safety. These changes were based upon my engine knowledge and experience. These proposed changes were demonstrated in RR Oberusel and had a potential cost saving of £5m in 4 years for labour and spare part costs and this concept was also applicable for repair engines. In addition to the above, I supported Mecachrome who are based in France with the A380 wing spar process and metal treatment in the UK with the translation of concessions in French to English.I have SC clearance until 2020

Service Engineering Dept supporting the Gnome engine with the UK MoD and Milcom operators worldwide. Roles included installation engine repair process, validation of modifications and installation/function tests. Also was involved with engine maintenance in desert operation.

Responsible for technical support of the Ast IIIN2, Ast XVID and Turmo IIIC4 engines for the UK MoD. Support to civil operators included the Royal Flight S76C+ helicopter with the Arriel 2S1 engines. Other work included support to APIC for the APS2000 & APS3200 APU,s.My support helped Turbomeca UK Ltd obtain the Royal Warrant from HM the Queen.
