"Stop playing in the dirt!" is what my mother would always tell me as I dug holes throughout the backyard of my childhood home. Little did she know that "playing in the dirt" is what I would spend four years studying and trying to make a living in.I was always fascinated in history and would constantly try to communicate what about it would send a shiver of excitement down my spine. While other kids were watching cartoons, I was watching documentaries. Yes, I know I sound like I was one of those "weird kids" in school. And I was. However, I was also the enthusiastic kid. The kid who would passionately pursue what interested him, which is something that has carried over into my adult life. Now I bring my enthusiasm to work with me--that can be a rare thing in a field of work where you have to spend several hours working your way through thorns and underbrush in 90+ degree weather. If you are looking for a quite guy who disinterestedly does the minimum amount of work, then I'm not your guy.
