From a young age, I saw my mom, a social worker, sit down with families and talk through incredibly tough situations and how they could work toward the next milestone. Fast forward to my career, I was a former DI lacrosse player working in commercial real estate, and I realized I wanted something more. I wanted to experience the same joy I saw my mom have when meeting with families and guiding them through a vulnerable season of life. From there, I sought a career that allowed me to have deep personal relationships with people while helping with an essential piece of life – financial planning. When deciding where to launch my career, I knew I wanted to be part of a company with the same core values I experienced within my lacrosse team. From day one at 49, I’ve had the chance to make a difference through my work with clients while being part of an incredible team of values-aligned advisors. Early on, I had the privilege of learning to lead other developing advisors, as my teammates had done for me before. Just as my mom did in her career, I continue to have the opportunity to provide a table for people to learn about financial planning while providing high-level expertise to clients nearing retirement and our private wealth community. The joy I experience from seeing the peace on clients’ faces never gets old, and I know it never will.
