I started working in the hospitality industry for my parents in our family owned, fast food cafe. From the age of 12 I was given exposure to every part of how a small business operated from the inside out - I certainly didn't know it at the time, but this provided a solid foundation and a unique lens to view the world through and build my entire professional career on.Over the years I immersed myself deeply in the coffee and cafe industries managing multiple cafes, serving on hundreds of tables, pouring thousands of coffees and working for and with some of the most talented, passionate and professional people that you can find in the coffee industry - gaining many friends and connections for life along the way. I completed my Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne in 2015. An amazing course that oriented my focus in a new direction - Business and Sales.It's been said that in it's most simplest form, selling is nothing more than the transfer of enthusiasm. Your mission is to either help someone achieve their goal, or to solve their problem. The focus isn't on what you're selling, but purely the desired result that your customer is looking to achieve. Sounds simple enough > but its uncommon, which makes me uncommon - and i'm okay with that!My ability to build and maintain relationships, clearly communicate ideas and a genuine desire to provide a great product and service experience came naturally when I was working on the front line - and are still core tenants that I strive to live by to this day in my sales career.Today, I work at FoodPak as a Business Development Manager / Food packaging consultant. We are a Vancouver based company that sells flexible packaging and packaging equipment into the food manufacturing and hospitality industries. At it's core we primarily help businesses (like yours) get an amazing looking package into their hands, and into the hands of their consumer. We focus exclusively on what our customers vision and needs are, and work hard to deliver a solution that serves its purpose properly - at the right price.I proudly host The Pack Heavy Podcast, a show for anyone in the industries mentioned above, that uses flexible packaging to get their products to market. I'm personally fascinated with and highlight the mindset required by entrepreneurs and business operators when they go all in on their vision, which I call the Pack Heavy Mentality.
