Used reliability engineering analysis methods (Weibull distribution for instance) as well as other statistical methods. - Creating / updating preventative maintenance sheets using OEM operation & maintenance manuals. Also worked with mechanics and other field personnel to further increase the accuracy and applicability of these maintenance sheets• This role included various financial tasks such as: - Performing cost analyses on component failures and change outs - Tracking and processing component warranties, add charges, and damages. This included communicating with vendors to address technical concerns regarding warranties and add charges - Creating and reviewing large Excel datasheets to help prepare month-end accruals• Became familiar with heavy mining equipment (haul trucks, dozers, graders, excavators, articulating trucks and compactors) and the various systems present in them (engine, torque converter, transmission, differential, final drive, etc).
